Kyoto Animation

Kyoto Animation Co., Ltd. – A Japanese Animation studio located in Uji, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan that was established in 1985 by former Moshi Pro staff becoming a limited company and then later became a corporation in 1999. Kyoto Animation has other studios in Osaka, Japan (Animation Do) that has worked in contributing KyoAni with backgrounds, In-between animations, and key animations also (Studio Blue) in South Korea. Kyoto Animation first started off as a small animation studio that worked on backgrounds and other such things. KyoAni are known for their great animation works such as; Air TV, Kanon, and the Clannad series, which are three adaptations from Key’s Visual Art (Visual Novel) that would have tearjearking moments in each of those series. Also, some other successful commercial animes are, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, and K-On! . The studio is held in high regard for their good quality animation, as well as for their unbelievable backgrounds.
